This Seoul Hotel Bed Is as Long as a Swimming Pool

Forget fighting for the blanket. At Seoul’s RYSE hotel, one suite now has a bed so long it reads more like a runway than furniture. Housekeeping deserves hazard pay.

Room 1503 is billed as the Curator Suite, a collab between the hotel and Brooklyn art group MSCHF. The gag, coded BED 2525, imagines a future where humans evolve into giants and need giant sleep gear.

When the giants return, the artists say, they will need somewhere to sleep. The mattress runs nearly 23 feet (about 7 meters) along the room and eats a big share of the 785-square-foot (73 m²) suite.

A night costs about $720. Guests get the absurd bed plus a private gallery: walls carry pieces that previously hung in New York and Los Angeles shows.

Other jokes pile on, from Animorphs-style objects to Damien Hirst-flavored installs. Officially the suite caps at four guests, even though the mattress could stage a football team nap.

The boring questions nobody can unsee

Online, the first argument is technical: is this one continuous mattress, or several standard blocks under a shared cover?

Laundry is worse. Custom sheets nearly 23 feet long, tucked so they do not slide, turn a normal room turn into an engineering drill.

RYSE is still selling the stay. In 2026, travelers will pay serious money for a photo in Seoul’s strangest interior.
