Mate Rimac, the boss of Bugatti Rimac, dropped a screenshot that made car Twitter blink twice. The Chiron on his dash was not a garage queen. The odometer read 176,295 km, about 109,500 miles: absurd mileage for a hypercar, and proof the 8.0-liter W16 can survive more than track days and valet loops.

Collectors often treat multi-million-dollar exotics as sculpture. Five thousand careful miles, then climate control forever. This Chiron chewed through a decade of family-sedan distance instead, still looking ready for another pull.

What that mileage really costs

Bugatti’s schedule says a car at this distance should have cleared at least 11 full service cycles. A routine annual visit runs around $11,500. The big four-year service tops $34,000. Stack those alone and you are near $200,000 before you count parts that wear out faster.

Tires alone get ugly: expect 10 to 12 sets of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber, each priced from about $8,000 to $40,000 depending on the fitment.

The scarier line items sit deeper. Four turbochargers and the fuel tank are on a short calendar when the car is driven hard, another $200,000 to $250,000 if you follow the book. Even so, the car still runs and looks healthy.

For brand fans the message is simple. If you can fund the service bill, a Chiron can live a daily life. Rimac just showed the receipts.
